Lorraine Anderson, 96, of Redfield died Saturday, July 18, 2009.
Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at First United Meth-odist Church in Aberdeen with the Rev. Eldon Reich officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Spitzer-Miller Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
Lorraine M. Demaray was born Feb. 5, 1913, to Louis and Ina (Penning) Demaray at Pipestone, Minn. In 1928 they moved to Mitchell where she graduated from high school in 1931.
She married Roger Anderson Jan. 13, 1932. She worked at Aberdeen’s Montgomery Ward; in the Brown County auditor’s office and Northern State University. Her husband died Jan. 27, 1977.
On Feb. 14, 1981, she married Eldon Jury. He died Nov. 27, 1991.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Aurora Temple, Daughters of the Nile. She volunteered at Avera St. Luke’s Pastoral Care, YWCA and Dakota Prairie Museum.
She is survived by a daughter, Juanita Misslitz of Aberdeen; three sons, Larry (Phyllis) of Aberdeen, Richard (Rayola) of Black Hawk and Robert (Karen) of Huron; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by both husbands and three sisters.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Eastern Star Home in Redfield.
