Nathan A. Korbel, 24, of Huron and formerly of Watertown, died Sunday, July 26, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident.
His funeral will be Thurs-day at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church in Watertown with the Rev. John Lants-berger officiating.
Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Watertown.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m. at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel and on Thursday prior to service.
Nathan Allen Korbel was born April 12, 1985, to Douglas and Ann (Rasmussen) Korbel at Watertown. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic church. He graduated from Watertown High School in 2004 and moved to Huron in May 2008. He was a warehouse supervisor for Lankota in Huron.
He enjoyed playing golf, the USC Trojan football team, watching boxing and was a movie buff.
He is survived by a daughter, Sloan of Huron; his mother, Ann Rasmussen; his father, Douglas Korbel; a brother, Jason; his grandparents, Maynard and Judy Rasmussen and Sy and Mary Korbel, all of Watertown; a great-grandmother, Lillian Amundson of Vermillion; and a special friend, Brittany Sandmann of Huron.
Memorials may be sent to the family for the benefit of his daughter.
