The Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant Committee and the Pageant Director Orval Van Deest have announced the final cast list for the 2009 Pageant held in De Smet. The cast for this year’s pageant, “The Long Winter,” is composed of novice, untrained actors from across eastern South Dakota.

The final cast, along with hometown and role, include Perry Anderson Sr., Madison, Pa Ingalls; Becky Schmidt, Willow Lake, Ma Ingalls; Caitlin Ostrander, De Smet, Laura Ingalls; Kristy Hubbard, De Smet, Laura Ingalls and narrator; Macy Pirlet, Sioux Falls, Carrie Ingalls; Nicole Howe, Castlewood, Mary Ingalls; Sara Scofield, De Smet, Grace Ingalls; Lucas Anderson, Brookings, Almanzo Wilder; Perry Anderson Jr., Brookings, Royal Wilder; Nikki Berg, De Smet, Betty Beardsley; Jamie Harty, De Smet, Beth Beardsley; Gerald Welfi, De Smet, Mr. Woodworth; Neal Martens, De Smet, Mr. Loftus; Don Bohn, De Smet, Mr. Boast; Kryszian Hoffman, De Smet, Mary Power; Truus Schukking, Lake Preston, Mrs. Boast; Haley Hubbard, De Smet, Minnie Johnson; and Sterling Berg, De Smet, Ben Woodworth.

The pageant is scheduled for July 10-12, July 17-19, and July 24-26.

Tickets are purchased at the gate, which opens at 7 p.m. The show starts about 9 p.m.
