HURON — The truck driver in Friday afternoon’s fatal crash north of Wolsey is in custody facing second-degree man-slaughter and three other charges, Beadle County State’s Attorney Mike Moore said.
Cedric Beauvil of Miama, Fla., was driving a 2015 Freightliner semi-truck and trailer eastbound on U.S. Highway 14 when he allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign at the north junction of U.S. Highway 14 and U.S. Highway 281.
The semi-truck collided with a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup that was northbound on U.S. Highway 281.

The pickup driver, Kennedy Tomsha, 18, of Tulare, was killed and her 18-year-old female passenger sustained life-threatening injuries.
Along with second-degree manslaughter, Beauvil, 24, is charged with a stop sign violation without safe passage, aggravated assault and reckless driving.
His bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety at a bond hearing on Monday.
Second-degree manslaughter carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.
