YANKTON — Brandon Valley claimed both the boys’ and girls’ titles during the Eastern South Dakota Conference Track and Field Meet, which was held Saturday in Yankton.

The Lynx had 157.5 points to edge Yankton for the boys’ title. The Bucks finished at 135.5.

Huron was ninth in the final boys’ standings.

Brandon Valley amassed 191.33 points to dominate in the girls’ division. Harrisburg was second at 115.

Huron was also ninth in the girls’ final standings.

Quinston Luellman was fifth for the Tigers in the 100-meter finals at 11.13 second. Quenton Walls was fifth in the triple jump at 41-0.25, while Kolby Hofer was seventh in the javelin with a throw of 133-10.

Kolton Ogle just missed placing in the high jump for the Tigers. He was ninth at 5-6.

Isaiah Decker was ninth in the discus for Huron at 134-10, finished 10th in the shot put at 44-1.5 and 11th in the javelin at 129-3.

The Tigers were fifth in both the boys’ medley and 3,200 relays. The medley relay team was made up of Luellman, Moses Gross, Max Kranzler and Cole Ochsner. Running the 3,200 relay were Cheech Harman, TJ Lien, Will Radke, Cole Ochsner.

The Huron girls were fourth in the 400 relay at 51.44 seconds and fifth in the 800 relay. Team members for the 400 were Brynn Gose, Zaniyah Lanier, Adison Moore and Heavan Gainey. Lanier, Moore, Gainey and Emily Dale ran the 800 relay.

Individually, Atara Richmond was fifth for the Tigers in the high jump at 4-11. Zaniyah Lanier was ninth in the 100 prelims at 12.92, while Josie Vlieger was 10th in the 3,200 at 13:02.06.

The Huron teams will close the regular season with the Mark Wendelgass Relays at 2 p.m. Thursday at Tiger Stadium.
