Holy Trinity second graders celebrated Laura Ingalls birthday with a Little House Day.
They dressed as pioneers, played games, such as checkers, paper dolls, whirly gigs, hide-the-thimble, and more. Everyone enjoyed writing on slates and practicing their cursive.
A highlight of the day was getting a tin pail packed with their lunch and eating in the classroom The second graders read Laura’s books all year using them to compare the past with the present. They will take a field trip to De Smet in May.
