Students at Kindernook Preschool are in full swing and having fun learning the alphabet letters. To reinforce the letter “A,” preschoolers enjoyed a unit on apples. Students enjoyed several tasty activities and both classes baked mini apple pies to celebrate the birthday of Johnny Appleseed. Students are taught by Karen Wehde and assisted by Candy Guthmiller and Jessica Anderson. Shown with their pies in the 3’s class are, front row, from left, Charley Bales, Rhianna Caban, Braydon Rogers, Maggie Perry, James Wheeler, Jante Parker and Mairelix Perez; and in back, Jisaiah Anderson, Kolby Glanzer, Olivia Purintun, Addison Bartholow, Diego Colon, Eli Muske, Hailey Rahder and Allyra Kerlin.
Next, the 4’s class had the opportunity to visit the home of Rodney and Beckie Freeman. They pressed apples into sweet and delicious cider, which they enjoyed with an apple snack.
