Having a blast at Harvest Fest

In the first two photos, Bob Bult, Boy Scouts troop leader, is shown at the pumpkin catapult. “I had the idea for it one night and thought we should build one…because this is the best way to destroy a pumpkin,” said Bult. The correct way to use the catapult is to take a pumpkin and walk backwards, holding it between your hands with your fingers crossed. Then, back up, sit down, fixate on a target and launch!

In the next photo, two newcomers try their hand at the device.

Next, brothers Desmond Peye and Dominik Paye are mesmerized by the balloonist, Jeff Emmert, as he shows the boys and their parents, Brandie and Darren, how to make all sorts of balloon creations at Harvest Fest on Saturday.

And next, Ashley Sederstrom and Megan Miller enjoy painting a pumpkin at the Huron Harvest Fest on Saturday.
