HURON — Second-ranked James Valley Christian’s speed and athleticism was too much for a taller Mitchell Christian team to handle on Tuesday.
The Vikings emerged with a 70-44 victory at the JVC gym.
Adam Hofer had 19 of his game-high 25 points in the opening half for JVC, which led 38-23 at the break.
Also reaching double figures for the Vikings, who improved to 16-0, were Andrew Ulvestad with 14 points and Nathan Wedel with 12 points.
Ulvestad had a team-high five rebounds, whle Hofer led the way with six steals and five assists.
Adam Rasmussen led Mitchell Christian (2-13) with 19 points, while Wes VanderPol added 10 points.
The Vikings will travel to play Dakota Christian on Friday.

Mitchell Christian 53, JVC 34
HURON — Mitchell Christian improved to 12-5 with a 53-34 victory against James Valley Christian on Tuesday at the JVC gym.
The Lady Vikings, who trailed for a majority of the game, dropped to 10-7 and will play at Dakota Christian on Friday.
