HURON — A $28,508 grant has been awarded to the Huron Police Department to purchase a utility vehicle and a K-9 patrol cage to be used in drug investigations, Attorney General Marty Jackley said.
The money will come from the Drug Control Fund.
“The Drug Control Fund allows law enforcement to combat controlled substance abuse by funding local programs such as this K-9 unit with monies seized from drug arrests,” he said.
