Rose pleads not guilty to 36 charges

HURON – John G. Rose of Huron has pleaded not guilty to three dozen sex-related charges.

Rose, 66, was indicted by a Beadle County grand jury on 12 counts of possession or manufacture of child pornography, eight counts of aggravated incest, eight counts of rape in the first degree and eight counts of sexual conduct with a child under 16.

He is free from custody after posting bond.

A motions hearing has been set for May 13. No new trial date has yet been scheduled.

A trial was originally set for this month, but the case was delayed due to a change in judges.
