New body shop opens

HURON — Auto Body Clinic, owned and operated by Jeremy Blom of Huron, has open at 805 Dakota Avenue North.

The certified collision repair center specializes in repairing, replacing and refinishing all exterior parts and panels on cars and light duty trucks of all makes and models.

Services available include windshield repair/replacement, Aquapel windshield treatment to improve vision with clarity through treatment to windshields, and interior and exterior detailing. They also feature headlamp lens restoration, Rhino spray in bed liners for pickups and undercoating vehicles for rust protection and sound proofing.

Blom includes loaner cars at no charge and lifetime warranties. Pittsburgh Paint and Glass paint repairs in their down draft paint booth.

Blom has been in the auto body repair industry for around 18 years. After attending Northwest Iowa Technical College in Sheldon, Iowa, he got his first job at Stickney Body Shop in Stickney. He has been serving the Huron area over the past six years as the manager of Prostrollo’s Body Shop in Huron.

Blom has achieved many certifications in the auto body repair field:

He is an Accredited Automotive Manager through the Automotive Management Institute. This course covers everything from customer service to how to properly diagnose a collision-damaged vehicle.

He is also a Master Collision Repair Technician through the automotive service excellence training program. This program covers training in areas from estimating a damaged vehicle, repairing frames, and straightening body panels to properly painting and matching the finish back to factory specifications.

Blom also graduated from the Leadership Huron class. This class, given by the Chamber of Commerce, is designed to develop leaders of the community by educating and inspiring class members to overcome challenges of growth and enhance the quality of live in Huron.

He has been the past president of the South Dakota Auto Body Association and currently serves as an area representative to help consumers with rights regarding a properly, safely repaired vehicle. Blom is passionate about the auto body repair industry. He is very particular in repairing vehicles back to pre-accident condition or better. Customer satisfaction and quality are of the utmost importance!
