RAPID CITY — Mildred “Millie” Helene Kellogg, 90, of Rapid City, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice House.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City.
Mildred Helene Bottomley was born March 3, 1922, to Orpheus and Irene (Hilton) Bottomley at Huron. She graduated from Huron High School and College of Commerce in Huron.
She married Harold Lovre in June 1941. They had two daughters. In 1961 they moved to Sioux Falls where she traveled the state of South Dakota for the Heart Association and the March of Dimes. She married Layton Corning in 1965 and Aubrey Kellogg in 1978. She worked for GTA Feeds for 20 years, retiring in 1988, and part time at Akers Gift Shop until she was 82. They moved to Rapid City in 2007.
She was a member of the Shrine Auxiliary, Daughter of the Nile-Ashram Temple 97 and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. She loved flowers, gardening and crocheting.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay (Jerry Oien) Moore of Rapid City; a stepson, Kevin (Jessica) Kellogg of Arizona; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karon Long; her three husbands; and a sister, Phyllis Curtis.
