JUNCTION CITY, Ore. — Roy A. Zilko, 87, of Junction City, Ore., died Friday, Oct. 5, 2012.
The funeral was at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Junction City Oct. 7.
Roy A. Zilko was born Aug. 9, 1925, to William and Gertrude (Montgomery) Zilko at Carthage. He graduated from Huron High School and served in the Navy during World War II.
He married Lois Timm at Esmond. He was a farmer for 19 years in Carthage and Sioux City, Iowa, and moved to Junction City in 1966, where he was a mill worker in the plywood industry for 17 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Roy and Kevin; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Louise Brooks, Frank and George; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Walker.
