COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Dewayne Erickson, 82, of Coeur d’Alene, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery at Coeur d’Alene.
Dewayne Erickson was born Feb. 2, 1930, to Nellie (Hemre) and Peder Erickson. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
He married Delores Kadoun. He worked in construction and as a carpenter. He built his own home in Coeur d’Alene and enjoyed living there for the last 33 years. He loved to go camping at Prichard, Idaho, and puttering around his shop at home.
He is survived by a girlfriend, Julie Weston; two children, Craig (Donna) of Post Falls, Idaho, and Pamela (Richard) Chilton of Coeur d’Alene; four grandchildren; a brother, David of Yale; and three sisters, Carole Geyer of De Smet, Donna Hallan of Iroquois and Vernie Hanson of Gelnrock, Wyo.
