HOWARD — Mary Rita LaMotte, 60, of Howard and formerly of Minneapolis, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at her home.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Agatha Catholic Church with inurnment to follow in Graceland Cemetery at Howard. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mary Rita Knapp was born June 2, 1952, at Minneapolis to George and Lillian (Karcewski) Knapp. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis in 1970. She worked at numerous jobs in Minneapolis, then moved to Howard in 1999. She worked at the PBM Plant and the Good Samaritan Society in Howard and the Heritage Senior Living and Dakota State University in Madison. She had a quirky sense of humor and enjoyed playing computer games and baking.
She is survived by a brother, James of Madison; and a special friend, Lynn Christopherson of Howard.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
