REDFIELD — Violet V. Weber, 79, of Redfield and formerly of Huron, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Redfield.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at American Lutheran Church with burial in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home or one hour prior to the service.
Violet V. Brenner was born to Ed Sr. and Katrina (Heer) Brenner April 8, 1933, at Alpena. She attended country schools in the Alpena area. In Huron, she worked for the Armour Meat Packing Plant for many years and at the American Legion. She married Phillip Peterson. On Dec. 17, 1966, she married Elmer Weber at Huron. They lived in Huron for many years before she moved to Redfield. She was a member of American Lutheran Church,and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was an excellent cook and baker.
She is survived by a son, Kevin (Tammy) Peterson of Iroquois; three daughters, Linda (Larry) Barker of Sparks, Nev., Ginger (Bob) Collier of Rapid City and Coral (Ron) Therriault of Quartz Hills, Calif.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene (Rose) of Huron.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a granddaughter; a brother, Ed; and a sister, Lorraine Baker.
