Melvin Mediger, 91, of Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS — Melvin Mediger, 91, of Sioux Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Sanford Hospital.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with the family present for visitation at noon. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. 

A family present visitation will also be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, with a celebration service at 7 p.m.

Melvin Mediger was born in Huron to John and Blanche (lngle) Mediger.

He is survived by his children, Dennis (Zola) Mediger of Sioux Falls, Larry (Mary) Mediger of Watertown, William (Sharon) Mediger of Sioux Falls and Debra (Michael) Roach of Sioux Falls; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, DeFane Dewolf, Spokane, Wash.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ileen (Schollian) Mediger; a brother, Eugene Mediger; and a grandson.
