SIOUX FALLS — Barbara Ellen Daniels Meyer, 62, died at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Feb.11, 2013.
Burial mass was held on Thursday, at 10 a.m., at St. Mark Evangelist Church in Norman, Okla..
There will be a parish scripture service at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Weiland Funeral Chapel, Madison. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.
She was born on Dec. 31, 1950, in Sioux Falls, to Dick and Mary Daniels.
She grew up and attended school in Huron. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Huron College in 1974. She worked in the banking industry, and later joined the National Guard. She became a full-time employee of the Air National Guard in 1991, and worked in the Payroll Office until 2007, when she retired with a medical discharge. She was an active member of St. Mark, the Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman, Okla., and was very active in the church groups and activities. She was vice president of the Oklahoma Chapter of the Scleroderma Foundation and was a member of the Red Hats.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Daniels of Madison, one brother, Scott (Jeri) Daniels of Madison, one sister, Patti Daniels of Phoenix, Ariz., nephews Jason (Amanda) Daniels, Sioux Falls, and Spencer Daniels of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister, Mary.
