CUSTER — Harold Andresen of Custer, previously of Newcastle, died at Custer Regional Senior Care.
Burial will be today at 11a.m. at the Black Hills National Cemetery.
Harold Edwin Andresen was born in Wolsey to John and Dorothea Andresen. He entered the U.S. Army in 1945. He was honorably discharged and awarded the Army of Occupation Medal Germany and the Victory Medal. He then enlisted in the Naval Reserves and was given an Honorable Discharge Certificate in 1952.
He married Leotha Rice on July 15, 1948, in Huron. He was a Precision Grinder. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories and playing dice, dominoes and bingo. He enjoyed country music, especially Eddy Arnold and western movies. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, Newcastle and the Wyoming American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 57 years, Leotha; four brothers, Albert, Clarence, Earl and Richard; sister, Gladys; and son, John Stephen.
He is survived by one brother, Robert; sons, Harold Jr. and Craig; daughter, LeeAnn; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A donation to the Hospice of the Hills is suggested.
