HURON — Robert Lee Fox, 80, of Huron, died on Thursday April 11, 2013, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
Service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Iroquois with burial at the LeSueur Cemetery in Bancroft. Visit www.welterfuneralhome.com.
Robert Lee Fox was born on Sep. 9, 1932, in Lake Benton, Minn. to John D. and Mollie (Grote) Fox. He graduated from Lake Benton High School. He helped organize the Lake Benton Saddle Up Club.
He married Mary Lou McMillan in 1968.
He farmed in the Bancroft area until 1978. He then ran race horses for the next twenty years and started to buy and sell antiques. He enjoyed attending flea markets, the Prairie Village in Madison, and other events.
He is survived by his sister, Ilona Hellbush of California; three brothers, James Fox, John (Jean) Fox, and Darwin (Clara Mae ) Fox, all of DeSmet; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and good friend, Jim Iverson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; two sisters, Barbara McKown, and Louella Broding; brother, Clifford Fox; nephews, Monte Fox, Brent Hellbush, and Jeffrey Fox; and niece, Marcelyn Hellbush.For the complete article see the 04-16-2013 issue.
