REDFIELD — Bernice Adelmeyer, 99, of Redfield, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at Community Memorial Hospital in Redfield.
She was cremated. Her memorial service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield.

Bernice Adelmeyer was born Aug. 4, 1913, in Iowa, to Herbert and Edith (Kohl) Beckler. She grew up in the Tulare area.
She married William Nolte in 1936. She then married Melvin Adelmeyer in 1946, in Las Vegas. They lived in California for 15 years and then returned to live in Redfield. Melvin died in 1985.
She worked at Leo’s Good Food, in Redfield, for several years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and playing cards.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her two cousins, Herb and Alice Hamilton of Wessington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lillian Brandt.
