Helen Labor, 89, of Miller died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at her residence.
Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Luther n Church in Miller with the Rev. Robert Ohnstad officiating.
Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery at Miller. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Reck Funeral Home in Miller.
Helen Siegling was born Aug. 18, 1919, at Faith to Edwin and Anna (Petersen) Siegling. She attended school in St. Lawrence and graduated from Miller High School in 1939.
On Aug. 18, 1947, she married Edward Labor atAberdeen. He died in 1995 and she moved to Miller Manor May 1, 2002.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, outdoor activities and traveling. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hand County Extension Club, Trinity Lutheran Hope Circle and women’s auxiliary.
She is survived by four children: Gene (Bev) of Miller, JoAnne (Darwin) Peterson of Huron, Barbara (David) Templeton of Pierre and Cheryl (Gene) Ludens of Springfield; a daughter-in-law, Janice Hancock of Fort Worth, Texas; eight grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and two sisters: Marie Hargens and Elizabeth Haberling of Miller.
