Bruley, Hupp place for SDSU at College NFR

BROOKINGS -- Two members of the South Dakota State University with area ties had strong showings for the Jackrabbits during the College National Finals Rodeo, which concluded Sunday at Casper, Wyo.

HURON -- A pair of drivers earned their first ever visit to Victory Lane on Saturday at Dakota State Fair Speedway.
Lane Johnson of Miller recorded the win in the WISSOTA Midwest modified division, while Kelly Duffy of Winner won the WISSOTA late model feature race to secure the first win of their racing careers.

Searing stretches win streak to six in Miller

It was a hot day that turned into a cool breezy evening at the Miller Central Speedway. The World of Outlaws Sprint Car race in Aberdeen lowered the car count as they raced super stocks with the Outlaws, and apparently some Aberdeen racers watched from the grandstand and didn't race. Women’s bowling honors

Split Endz won the scratch and handicap team titles with 2,432 and 2,717, respectively, during hte Huron Women's City Bowling Tournament. Members of the team are Kasey Bitterman, Jennifer Teveldal, Jill McHugh and Stephanie North. Teveldal also had a 582 to win the singles scratch title.
