Harrisburg earns win against Huron in opener

HURON -- After getting off to somewhat of a slow start, the Huron volleyball put things together to make it interesting during its season-opening match against Harrisburg on Saturday at Huron Arena.
Harrisburg built a 2-0 lead but needed a 28-26 victory in the fourth set to secure the match. The set scores were 25-17, 25-19, 26-28 and 28-26.

BROOKINGS -- The Huron girls' tennis team went 1-1 on Saturday during the Brookings Jamboree.

HURON -- Sioux Falls O'Gorman turned in a score of 305 to win the Huron Invitational on Friday at Broadland Creek Golf Course by five strokes.
Rapid City Stevens was second at 310, followed by Sioux Falls Lincoln at 316, Brandon Valley at 317 and Yankton at 319.
Huron finished 14th in the 15-team field with a score of 368.
