Poncelets to receive 2014 Friends of Rodeo Award: Heartland 4-H Rodeo begins at 10 a.m. today

Broadland Creek to host SDGA tourneys

HURON -- Broadland Creek Golf Course will host a pair of South Dakota Golf Association events starting today with the Adult-Junior Championship.
The Adult-Junior Championsip will consist of 18 holes of play and uses the alternate shot format. The junior players will tee-off on odd-numbered holes, with the adult teeing off on the even-numbered holes.

Devyn Gortmaker and Michael Winsell were destined to be dart players. Both their fathers, Rod Gortmaker and Les Winsell, have been long time league players in the Wednesday night Miller Dart League sponsored by Manford Music.

ABERDEEN -- Several area athletes will be competing in the 28th Annual South Dakota High School All-Star Games, which will be held Tuesday and Wednesday in Aberdeen.

ABERDEEN -- Aberdeen recorded a doubleheader sweep against Huron Signature Plus on Tuesday.
In the opening game, Aberdeen needed just five innings to record a 12-2 victory.
