Brookings pulls away to earn victory against Tigers

HURON -- After having its lead sliced to just a goal with under five minutes to play, Brookings added a pair of goals for a 5-2 victory in a boys' varsity soccer game against Huron at Pepsi Fields Soccer Complex on Tuesday.

James Valley Christian scored a goal in each half to emerge with a 2-0 shutout against Vermillion on Saturday at JVC Field.

The Rustlers won with scores of 25-12, 25-22 and 25-14.

TULARE -- Redfield defeated Hitchcock-Tulare 25-18, 26-24, 25-19, 25-19 Tuesday.
It was the season open for both teams and Redfield was led by Sarah Rozell who had 12 kils converting 18-of-19 attempts and defensively blocked 7-of-15 attempts.
