De Smet records victory against O-R/R

BROOKINGS — The De Smet Bulldogs pulled away in the second half for a 52-28 victory against Oldham-Ramona/Rutland during the Entringer Scholarship Classic held Saturday at Brookings High School.

Austin Janssen, who was named as the game’s MVP, scored 14 points and had six rebounds to lead the Bulldogs (3-3), while Kyler Asleson added 13 points.

Ryan Schlisner and Josh Thurow had eight and seven points, respectively, for Oldham-Ramona/Rutland.

The two teams will square off again on Friday in Oldham.
