Highmore-Harrold defeats Spartans in 281

HIGHMORE Highmore-Harrold pulled away in the second half for a 56-36 victory against Wessington Springs during the Action Club Classic on Saturday in Highmore.

Hayden Houdek led the Pirates with 14 points and seven rebounds. Hadley Hamlin had 12 points, while Ben Peterson and Brady LaMont each had eight points.

Braden Jones had 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Spartans. Trenity Kenobbie also reached double figures with 10 points.

DE SMET Second-ranked James Valley Christian kept its undefeated season intact with a 58-35 victory against De Smet on Saturday.

Adam Hofer led the Vikings, with 22 points. He also had team highs with eight rebounds, five assists and five steals. Nathan Wedel also reached double figures with 14 points.

Austin Janssen led the Bulldogs with 15 points, while Kyler Asleson with 10 points. Janssen and Brad Penney each had five rebounds, while Broderick Poppinga had for assists.

REDFIELD Ephram Albrecht had 18 points to lead three players in double figures, as Redfield-Doland held on for a 52-47 victory against Hitchcock-Tulare on Saturday.

Landon Rohlfs and Daniel Evans added 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Pheasants, who improved to 6-8.

Landon Bushong was the lone player to reach double figures for Hitchcock-Tulare with 12 points. Landon Gatzke and Chase Bixler had nine and eight points, respectively.
