HURON — The Huron girls’ junior varsity golf team finished tied for the top spot at the Huron Junior Varsity Invitational on Thursday at Memorial Golf Course.
Huron shot a team score of 362, which matched the score posted by Watertown. Mitchell’s junior varsity team was third with 431.
Kaci Schimke of Huron had the lowest individual round, finishing 18 holes in 84 strokes. She shot a 39 on the front nine holes, and 45 on the back nine.
Hailee DeVille of Watertown had the second lowest score of the day, shooting a 41 on the first nine and 45 on the back nine to finish with an 86.
Huron’s Jayda Shillingstad was third with a 46 on the front nine and 41 on the back nine to finish with an 87.
Rounding out the lineup for the Tigers were Bailey Rathjen at 91, Taylor Regnier at 100, Hallee Haber at 106, Makiah Schweigert at 108, Alissa Gauer at 122, and Taylor Deering at 151. For the complete article see the 05-10-2013 issue.
