HURON — The Huron Storm opened the fall soccer season with games against Belle Fourche and Custer on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
After building a 3-1 lead in the opening half, Belle Fourche emerged with a 4-2 victory against Huron in the season opener.
John Witte opened the scoring for the Storm with a goal in the first half on a pass from Zach Weber.
Jaedyn Ford capped the scoring for Huron using a header to put the ball in the net on a cross by Witte.
The Storm held one-goal leads in each of the halves against Custer but had to settle for a 2-2 tie.
Joseph Perez gave Huron a 1-0 advantage in the first half, scoring on a free kick.
Witte gathered a ball, which was tipped by the Custer goalkeeper to score the goal for the Storm in the second half.
Braedon Hinker served as the goalkeeper for Huron in both games.
