RAPID CITY — The Huron boys’ and girls’ cross country teams concluded their season Saturday at the State Cross Country meet.
The boys’ team finished 17th with a total of 507 points.
Arthur Hines was the first Tiger to finish running the 5,000-meter course in 18 minutes 55.65 seconds. Finishing two spots behind him was Brenden Corbett who clocked a 19:03.05. Edsson Quispe-Laura finished next at 109th (19:37.10) followed by Landon Claeys who was 111th (19:42.70) and Ryan Chase who was 112th (19:52.35).
The Tiger girls’ team also finished 17th led by Elisebeth Dickson who finished the 4,000-meter course with a time of 17:00.56 to place 70th.
The second Tiger to cross the line was Sloane Mack who ran a 17:12.66 to come in 82nd.
Cassidy Moon ran a time of 17:25.76 to finish 93rd followed by teammates Shelby Gauer (94th, 17:29.76) and Jordan Adams (95th,17:31.86).For the complete article see the 10-27-2013 issue.
