S.F. West wins two against Huron

HURON Sioux Falls West put up 33 runs during a doubleheader sweep against Huron Signature Plus in teener baseball on Tuesday at Klock Field.

Sioux Falls needed just five innings to get a 20-1 victory in the opening game.

Xavier Erickson started on the mound for Signature Plus and was relieved by Spencer Peterson and Jacob Bich.

Cole Johnson had two hits including a double for Huron.

Sioux Falls emerged with a 13-8 victory in the second game.

Diontay Phillips drove in three runs for Signature Plus, while Cooper Fryberger and Michael Waldner each had a hit.

Bich handled the pitching duties in the nightcap for Huron.

Signature Plus faced Aberdeen in a twinbill on Wednesday at Klock Field, but results were not available at press time.


PIERRE Huron Sertoma emerged with a split in a teener baseball doubleheader against Pierre on Tuesday.

Pierre needed an extra inning to secure a 4-3 victory in the first game.

Sertoma earned the split with an 11-3 win in the second game.

Huron, which is now 11-5, will host Watertown in a doubleheader on Monday at Klock Field.
