The sixth week’s “I Made a Difference” award was presented to Doris Skow, 456 Lawnridge Ave. S.E. Skow has different levels of rock and flower arrangements in her backyard. She even added a moose sculpture this year. She keeps her backyard neat and very well kept with something blooming all the time. She is an amazing lady. Pictured with Skow is Matt Breems, manager of Lewis Drug. Skow received a flag from the VFW Post No. 1776 Ladies Auxiliary, gift certificates from Lewis Drug, East River Nursery and Dakota Provisions, and gifts from Runnings. The “I Made a Difference” program is sponsored by the Huron Community Improvement Committee. Nomination forms can be picked up at the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau, Parks and Recreation Department, Lewis Drug, Runnings and East River Nursery. Nominations can also be found on Huron’s Web site or just send a note to Denise Matson at noelmatson@hur.midco.net. There are only two more weeks to go in the program.
