Celebrating Veterans Day

Iroquois School observed Veterans Day with an assembly Monday at the school. The eighth grade and the All-State Chorus and alternates sang “The Star Spangled Banner.” Three students read veterans poems. Charemon Dunham, from the Bensley Rounds American Legion Post 280, talked about “Who is a Veteran” and gave facts about Veterans Day.  Iroquois School Board President Greg Blue and Superintendent Mark Sampson presented veteran Lowell Dubro with his honorary high school diploma. The program concluded with everyone singing “America the Beautiful.”
