Sophomore Gabe Ryland and freshman Abby Reese are the Readers Theatre alternates.
Competition begins Friday morning at 10:00 at Yankton High School, with the last round of competition being Saturday afternoon at 1:30.
“The students this year have put in many hours preparing for this year’s state festival. When we get to compete against two of the top teams in the nation (Sioux Falls Lincoln and Sioux Falls O’Gorman) every weekend, it forces us to raise the bar. I believe our hard work will pay off,” said oral interp coach Angie Klein.
The team is also coached by Laura Hoek and Mitch Gaffer.
