Beadle County Area Nutrition is planning an early Motherís Day dinner on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to noon (or until all are served) at the Huron Senior Center, 290 Seventh St. S.W.
The menu for this special meal is chicken breast supreme, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, fruit salad, fresh baked dinner roll, and ice cream sundae.†Reservations are appreciated by 4 p.m. Thursday, and can be made by signing up when you are at the senior center, or by calling either 352-6091 or 352-8291.
Anyone is welcome to attend this special meal, as well as any of the meals served by BCAN. Seniors who are 60 years of age or more and their spouses are asked to make a donation to help with the meal expenses.†Those who are under 60 need to pay the full cost of the meal.†
A well-balanced meal is served at 11:30 a.m. each weekday (except holidays) by BCAN at the Huron Senior Center.†Home delivered meals are available within the Huron city limits for those unable to come to the senior center.†Each meal includes meat or fish, two vegetables, a fruit, bread, †milk and coffee. Substitiutes are usually available.†Those who want a substitiute for an item on the menu should ask about this when making their reservations.
