NuStar helps collect school supplies

NuStar em-ployee and United Way Heartland Region board member, Troy Styer, spearheaded a drive to purchase school supplies for children in the Huron District.

More than $650 was raised through donations from NuStar employees, United Way board members, American Bank & Trust employees, Dakotaland FCU employees, and Ned and Sheila Keeler. Lewis Drug and Kmart provided discounts on all items purchased by for the program, and more than 374 school supplies were provided to the ESL Welcome Center and Lutheran Social Services.

A list of supplies included in the backpacks as new families register includes:

24-count crayons

Folders with pockets

Glue sticks

Wide-lined loose leaf paper

Blue and black pens

Colored pencils

Wide-lined spiral notebooks

No. 2 pencils

Soft pink or green erasers
