The annual Fall Festival and bake and plant sale will be held Tuesday at American Lutheran Church, 155 Fourth St. S.E.

The bake and plant sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the education wing of the church, with fresh coffee and homemade rolls served from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

Luncheon, featuring homemade soup, pork loin sandwiches, homemade pie and beverages, will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All funds will be used for various mission and church property improvement projects.

This is a fundraiser for American Lutheran Church and includes hours of preparation as volunteers have gathered to make homemade rosettes, krumkaka, lefse and other goodies.

This past year, members of the ALCW made 106 full-size and 40 baby-size quilts. One quilt in particular went to Germany.

Church members take some quilts to the Rosebud school when they visit there, and Kim Rieger will take some to Mexico with her later this year.

The rest of the quilts go to Lutheran World Relief. The church helps support the Huron Back Pack program, Huron Adult Day Care, Lutheran Outdoors, etc.

The next big remodeling project the church women’s groups will raise money for will be the remodeling of the fellowship hall.
