Gaylen Larson, 74, of Bryant died Monday, July 26, 2010, at home.
His funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bryant with the Rev. Renee Tecklenburg officiating. Burial will follow in Our Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Gaylen Larson was born April 26, 1936, to Gilbert and Eunice (Erickson) Larson at Bryant. He attended school in Bryant.
He married Janice Blogg Sept. 19, 1958, at Bryant. They farmed west of Bryant and settled on a farm just northwest of Bryant. He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, was on the church board, the Parkview Care Center Board, the Our Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery Board and had recently retired from the Washington Township Board where he served 30 years. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, hunting and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife; four children, Rhonda (Joe) Bouza of Scotland, David (Tracey) of Bryant, Duane (Kimberly) of Prairie Dusac, Wis., and Kari (Gary) Wockenfuss of Weeping Water, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; a granddaughter-in-law; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister-in-law and a brother-in-law.
