SIOUX FALLS — Michael Scott Palmlund, 29, of Sioux Falls and formerly of De Smet, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Sioux Falls.
His service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in De Smet with the Revs. Gregory Frankman and Cathal Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Osthus Funeral Home in De Smet.
Michael Scott Palmlund was born Sept. 20, 1983, to Leslie and Mona Rae (Cundy) Palmlund in De Smet. He graduated from De Smet High School in 2002, and received a degree in message therapy from the S.D. School of Massage Therapy in Sioux Falls. He was a licensed massage therapist and was currently employed with Baete-Forseth in Sioux Falls.
He lived life to the fullest. He also enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend, relaxing with family and dancing. He enjoyed riding his Harley, four-wheeling, and driving his 1969 Road Runner. He was talented with metal work and welding and loved animals.
He is survived by his parents of De Smet; a brother, Scott (Shannon) of De Smet; a sister, Penny (Monte) Casper of De Smet; a grandmother, Frances (Ryland) Cundy of De Smet; his girlfriend, Morgan Roemeling of Sioux Falls; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
