HARROLD — Beatrice J. Henson, 86, of Harrold, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at Highmore Health.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Harrold auditorium with the Rev. Kori Lehrkamp officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Luze Funeral Home in Highmore, familyfuneralhome.net.
Bea Axmaker was born Nov. 6, 1925, at Holabird to Clarence and Beatrice (Ingle) Axmaker. She graduated from Harrold High School in 1943.
Shes married Grayson Davis in 1946 and they had one son. In 1951 she married Harold Henson at Huron. In her later years, she met Dennis Glanzer and they shared several years of companionship.
She loved to fish and was an avid bowler, receiving numerous trophies and awards. She also enjoyed canning, cooking, gardening, sewing and quilting. She ran Bea’s Upholstery Shop in Pierre from 1974 to 1998.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruth and Doris; seven children, Grayson (Mardell) Davis of Fort Pierre, Mike (Clela) Henson of Huron, Jean Henson of Harrold, Charles (Diane) Henson of Brandon, Nancy (Darryl) Cuppy of Harrold, Wanda Mathews (Jake Bonnichsen) of Blunt and Bea Kay Lewis of Carter; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; and two sisters, Gabriel and Clairie.
