OMAHA, Neb. — Eva Beck, 91, of Omaha and formerly of Huron, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Skyline Retirement Community in Omaha. Her memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Welter Funeral Home with a private family burial in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Visit welterfuneralhome.com.
Eva Elsie Moeller was born Feb. 25, 1921, to Herman and Bertha (Meyer) Moeller at Cavour. She married Knute Beck at Huron June 28, 1939.
They farmed in the Iroquois and Wolsey areas until 1962. She worked as a sales associate at the J.C. Penney store in Huron until 1982. She moved to Omaha in April 2011 to be near her daughter.
She is survived by a son, Clarence (Bonnie) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Janelle Schlenker of Omaha; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1978; six brothers, Ed, Henry, Raymond, Richard, Kenneth and Bill; and three sisters, Hazel Beckman, June Arbeiter and Margaret Galyen.
