WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Vera Myers, 90, of Wessington Springs, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Weskota Manor in Wessington Springs.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Foothills Bible Fellowship Church in Wessington Springs with the Rev. Don Grubb officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Wessington Springs.
Visitation will be at Basham Funeral Home in Wessington Springs today from 6 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to service.
Vera Marie Adams was born April 27, 1922, to William and Anne Adams.
On Nov. 25, 2943, she married Lawrence Myers. She taught country schools near Wessington Springs and was a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, cooking, crocheting, crafting and playing cards.
She is survived by a son, Larry (Marji) of Denver; three daughters, Gloria (Gene) Fastnacht of Wessington Springs, Laura (Jim) Sletten of Elk River, Minn., and Mary Burnison of Wessington Springs; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bob of Seattle.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; stepfather, Chris Kent; an infant son, John; two sisters; and two brothers.For the complete article see the 10-10-2012 issue.
