WESSINGTON SPRINGS ó Rozella Mae Krohmer, 92, of Wessington Springs, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at home.
The funeral will be Friday at 10 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Wessington Springs with the Rev. Martin Avery officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Basham Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to service.
Rozella Mae Linafelter was born June 4, 1920, to James and Oorthea (Schmidt) Linafelter at Alpena. She graduated from Alpena High School in 1939 and attended Northwest Business College in Huron. She worked at the Armour Packing Plant in Huron and the FSA office in Wessington Springs. On Jan. 8, 1947, she married Fay Krohmer of Wessington Springs. She worked in the assessorís office and the nursing home. She belonged to the Tuesday Sues Extension Club, Winnebago Club, Farmers Union and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a 4-H leader and enjoyed playing cards and needlework. She made lap robes for the veteranís home and hospital.
She is survived by five children, Mary Ann (Jim) Hager of Waukon, lowa, Keo (Mark) Hamilton of Westminister, Colo., Ruth (Marvin) Kelley of Huron, Fred (Jan) of Wessington Springs and Frank (Chris) of Mitchell; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pearl Burg of Wessington Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; a son-in-law, James Seigenthaler; and three grandchildren.
