WESSINGTON SPRINGS ó Pearl Krog, 91, of Wessington Springs, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at the Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket after breaking her leg.
The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs with the Rev. John Paulson officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation at Basham Funeral Home Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service.
Pearl Teveldal was born April 10, 1921, in rural Alpena to Peder and Ida (Pederson) Teveldal. She graduated from Alpena High School. She married Dick Krog Aug. 2, 1942, at Yuma, Ariz. They worked in California and farmed in Buffalo County. She drove school bus at Wessington Springs for 15 years. In 1998 they moved into Wessington Springs.
She is survived by four children, Charlene (Robert) Isakson, Lydell and Gayle (Patricia), all of Sioux Falls, and Twila Whitehead of Wessington Springs; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Leona (Russell) Hanson of Sioux Falls, De Schaffer of Huron and Lila (Doc) Kludt of Watertown; two brothers, Ole (Liz) of Wessington Springs and Ivan of Tulare; seven sisters-in-law, Luella Teveldal, Margaret Nielson, Verna Thum, Jean Schwiesow, Velma Schabot, Joan Krog, Louise Krog and Dorothy Krog; and two brothers-in-law, Leo Koener and Lowell Krog.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Lloyd and Leonard; two sisters, Edna Brandenburg and Verna Koerner; two sons-in-law; and a great-grandchild.
