ALEXANDRIA, Minn. — William James Costello, 59, of Alexandria and formerly of Huron, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at home.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with private cremains burial at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Visit welterfuneralhome.com.
William James Costello was born April 2, 1953, at Huron to Jim and Janice (Kogel) Costello. He graduated from Huron High School and attended Huron College.
He married Marlis Marshall July 6, 1973. He worked as a carpenter and job superintendent for Jacobsen Construction. They moved to Alexandria in 1983. He worked for Watkins Construction Company and from September 1989 until now he worked for Breitbach Construction Company of Elrosa, Minn. He loved fishing, camping and enjoying life at the lake.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Adam (Joanne) of Minneapolis and Justin of Seattle; a brother, Jay (Tracy) of Gillette, Wyo.; a brother-in-law, Jack (Midge) Marshall of Huron; and two sisters-in-law, Sandy (Roger) Kissner of Huron and Cindy Marshall of Rapid City.
He was preceded in death by his father; parents-in-law, Lyle and Theone Marshall; grandparents, Harry and Ida Costello; and two brothers-in-law, Ken Marshall and Larry Marshall.
