HURON — David Sheridan, 75, of Huron, died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at SunQuest Healthcare Center.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday at Welter Funeral Home. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service at Welter Funeral Home.
David Francis Sheridan was born Jan. 25, 1937, at Huron to Donald and Margaret (Smith) Sheridan. He attended Huron High School and Huron College. He served in the Marine Corps from 1954-57. He married Theresa Niecikowski July 12, 1959. He was a police officer with the Huron Police Department. They moved to Chicago, where he worked for Prudential, Brunswick Corp., and General Binding. He returned to Huron in 2004 to be with his family.
He is survived by four sons, Paul, Thomas and Andrew, all of Chicago, and James of Oregon; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, James (Bonnie) of Huron; and three sisters, Ann Sheridan and Jean (Dick) Decker, all of Huron; and Kathy Schooley of Albuquerque.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother and father, and one nephew, Donald Carpenter.
