Ruby (Langbehn) Wilson, 90, of Huron

HURON Ruby (Langbehn) Wilson, age 90, of Huron, SD, died Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron. Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 16, at First United Methodist Church with burial at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Thursday from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church. Visit www.welterfuneralhome.com.

Ruby Wilson was born Ruby Engel, daughter of Christ and Minnie (Buechler) Engel, on December 23, 1921, at Ree Heights, SD. The family lived in Miller, Alpena, and Huron areas.

On September 5, 1940, Ruby married Erland H. Langbehn at Lebanon, SD. Ruby farmed with her husband and later worked at Raven Industries, and the American Legion building in Huron. Erland died on January 19, 1987.

On March 18, 1988, Ruby married Richard V. Wilson in Huron, where they have resided since that time.

She enjoyed dancing, baking, and gardening. Ruby was a member of First United Methodist church, and Fun Steppers dance club.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Huron; 1 son, Leroy Langbehn of Huron; 4 grandchildren, Larry (Amy) Langbehn, Dale (Marie) Langbehn, Kimberly (Darren) Eggleston, and Wayne (Amber) Langbehn; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 stepchildren, James (Erma) Wilson of Huron, Julie (Thomas) Hofer of St. Cloud, MN, and Jerry (Janet) Wilson of Burlington, WI; 7 stepgrandchildren, Wayne (Kathleen) Wilson, Angela (Rodney) Drake, Robert (Jennifer) Wilson, Bryan (Phoebe) Hofer, David Hofer, Jessica (Joshua) Bosma, and Joseph (Nichole) Wilson; 8 great stepgreat-grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Erland Langbehn; 5 brothers and their spouses, Reuben (her twin), Otto, John, George, and Christ; 2 sisters and their spouses, Minnie Charbono, and Dorothy Meyer.
