Lindsey Leyendecker, daughter of Jason and Cheri Leyendecker, was awarded honorable mention at the South Dakota Music Teachers Association competition in the 10-year-old division held in conjunction with its state conference in Spearfish.
Next, Thor Dramstad, son of Michael and Tammy Dramstad, was a second-place winner in the 17- to 18-year-old competition. Leyendecker is the student of Brenda Ruedebusch and Dramstad is the student of Eric Bliss, all of Huron.
