IROQUOIS — Deanna R. Snyder, 74, of Iroquois, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at SunQuest Healthcare Center.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church with burial in Maplewood Cemetery, all at Iroquois. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Welter Funeral Home.
Deanna R. Dean was born to Raymond and Margaret (Clark) Dean Feb. 28, 1938, at Rock Island, Ill. She attended school in Artesian and Mitchell. She worked for Raven Enterprises for 30 years and owned a quilting business.
She married Tenis Snyder Nov. 23, 1957, at Artesian. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed calligraphy, ceramics, crocheting, macrame and decoupage.
She is survived by three sons, Micheal (Martha Fiddyment) of Carson City, Nev., Kelly (Debra) of Huron and Rodney (Brenda) of Huron; a daughter, Rita (Wayne Shireman) Snyder of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Marion and Raymond Jr., both of Artesian, Henry of Brandon and William of South Carolina; and six sisters, Eleanor Schmelzer of Hilton Head, S.C., Ruth Nelson of Colorado, Audry Schmelzer and Debra Doonan, both of Illinois, Margie Mercado of Alabama and Katie Galbreith of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2007; and two sisters, Arlene Schoenfelder and Betty McGraw.
