REDFIELD — LeRoy A. Anderson, 61, of Redfield, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Redfield with the Rev. Christopher Hughes officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. LeRoy A. Anderson was born Sept. 12, 1951, at Aberdeen to Lloyd and Ethel (Monson) Anderson. He grew up in Mansfield and graduated from Northville High School in Northville.
He married Mary Seiler Sept. 23, 1972, and they lived in Aberdeen and moved to Redfield in 1977. He worked at the bowling alley, the Coachman Supper Club, cooked at Terry’s Steakhouse for many years and at South Dakota Developmental Center-Redfield in the kitchen. He enjoyed playing bingo.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Janell (Heath) Shottenkirk of Redfield; a son, Allen (Misty) of Colman; six grandchildren; a sister, Linda Anderson of Aberdeen; and a brother, Merlin of Huntsville, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jodi; and three siblings, Marlys, Lyle and Marilyn.
