ARTESIAN — Shirley Joyce Spelbring, 76, of Artesian, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society in Howard.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Willoughby Funeral Home in Howard, with burial to follow in Prairie Flower Cemetery, Fedora.
Visitation will begin at noon Monday with the family present to greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Shirley Joyce Keller was born Aug. 11, 1936, on a farmstead near Iroquois to Floyd and Rose (Lendo) Keller. When she was 4 her family moved to Huron, where she attended school.
On Oct. 6, 1953, she married Dale Lloyd Spelbring at Huron. They lived around Forestburg and Artesian. For the past 44 years she lived on a farm near Artesian
She is survived by three sons, Gary (Margaret) Spelbring of Artesian, Tom (Jana) Spelbring of Wisconsin, and John (Cindy) Spelbring of Rapid City; two daughters, Debra (Bill) Olson of Marshall, Wis., and Brenda (Don) Herron of Custer; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray (Lorie) Keller of Howard, and Jim (Lana) Keller of Montevideo, Minn.; two sisters, Charlotte Taylor of Utah, and Sandy Baker of Sioux Falls.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren; and three sisters, Leona Erdman, Betty Madsen and Audrey Palmer.
